Personal Spiritual Growth:  Connecting Deeper with God

Welcome to our third gathering, May 25-28th, 2018 where we will focus on conscious partnership with God so that we may more fully and successfully partner with Jesus in His request to proclaim the gospel.  Tom Choquette and Susan Cook are dedicated to providing a space for all of you to grow more deeply in spirit. It’s our pleasure to serve you by making this gathering happen. We invite anyone who feels that nudge to dance more fully with Spirit.

There is nothing more important in our earthly career than growing spiritually. While here, we get an incredible amount of help if we will accept it. You are invited to our gathering over Memorial Day weekend to delve in and explore deeply how to grow closer to our Father and grow more spiritually attuned.

We will be doing this in one of the most beautiful places on our planet.   We’ll be learning together on the Salish Sea, near an old growth forest where we’ll be able to commune with our Father and walk the beaches. The point of this gathering is connecting deeper with God while growing a stronger community!

117:6.8   We all too often forget that God is the greatest experience in human existence… When we search for God, we are searching for everything. When we find God, we have found everything. The search for God is the unstinted bestowal of love attended by amazing discoveries of new and greater love to be bestowed.

It is possible to find and personally know God during this life, we do not have to wait.

1:1.2   The affectionate dedication of the human will to the doing of the Father’s will is our choicest gift to God; in fact, such a consecration of creature will constitutes our only possible gift of true value to the Paradise Father.

We’ll talk about this, a lot. We’ll share our own experience and insights into how we can most effectively turn our will over to our Father.

117.4.14   When we consecrate our will to the doing of the Father’s will, when we give God all that we have, then does he make us more than we are.

What an incredible promise.  God will make us more than we are when we are aligned with him.  What does that look like and how can we better do this?  What guidelines and clues do we find in our revelation that will help us grow spiritually in our own unique, God inspired way?

We know it’s possible to personally know and grow with Spirit intimately entwined in our lives. The purpose of our upcoming gathering is to explore this fact.

Please join us as we grow into more beautiful beings and partner with Spirit so that we will more fully be lead into the heart of God and experience God our Father into our minds and hearts.

At the end of this invitation is a list of quotes that we will study in a small group format and then share with the larger group.

Quotes to ponder:

196:3.34   The great challenge to God’s children is to achieve better communication with the divine Monitor that dwells within the human mind.

146:3.6   While you cannot observe the divine spirit at work in your minds, there is a practical method of discovering the degree to which you have yielded the control of your soul powers to the teaching and guidance of this indwelling spirit of the heavenly Father, and that is the degree of your love for all God’s children.

100:2.1   Spiritual development depends, first, on the maintenance of a living spiritual connection with true spiritual forces and, second, on the continuous bearing of spiritual fruit: yielding the ministry to one’s brothers and sisters of that which has been received from one’s spiritual benefactors.

100:4.6   It is not so important to love all people today as it is that each day you learn to love one more person. If each day or each week you achieve an understanding of one more person, and if this is the limit of your ability, then you are certainly socializing and truly spiritualizing your personality.

192:2.1   Devote your life to proving that love is the greatest thing in the world. It is the love of God that impels us to seek salvation. Love is the ancestor of all spiritual goodness, the essence of the true and the beautiful.

117:6.10    All true love is from God, and we receive the divine affection as we ourselves bestow this love upon each other. Love is dynamic. It can never be captured; it is alive, free, thrilling, and always moving. We can never take the love of the Father and imprison it within our heart. The Father’s love can become real to us only by passing through our personality as we in turn bestows this love upon our all people.

195:10.1   What is now most needed is Jesus.  The world needs to see Jesus living again on earth in the experience of spirit‑born mortals who effectively reveal the Master to all.

196:1.3   To “follow Jesus” means to personally share his religious faith and to enter into the spirit of the Master’s life of unselfish service for humankind.

196:1.3   Of all human knowledge, that which is of greatest value is to know the religious life of Jesus and how he lived it.

178:1.11   Let all humankind benefit from the overflow of your loving spiritual ministry, enlightening intellectual communion, and uplifting social service; but none of these humanitarian labors, nor all of them, should be permitted to take the place of proclaiming the gospel.
